About Alexandra Amor

Alexandra Amor is an award-winning author, blogger, podcaster, enthusiastic entrepreneur, and someone with a lifelong interest in how humans (including herself) work.
Here at Stop Suffering About, Alexandra shares books, courses, videos, audio, podcast episodes, and articles that explore our understanding of our innate well-being and wholeness. Her focus is on the new paradigm of psychology known as the Three Principles (or the Inside Out understanding).
Alexandra was a psychology major in university. She has received training about the Three Principles from Dr. Amy Johnson, Michael Neill, Nicola Bird, Barbara Patterson and Rohini Ross, and Mary Schiller.
She serves on the board of her local hospice association and when she’s not teaching and creating for this site, she writes mystery novels and other works of fiction.
Alexandra began her writing career with an award-winning memoir about ten years she spent in a cult in the 1990s. She has written four animal adventures for middle-grade readers, set on a fictional island in the Salish Sea, several historical mysteries set in 1890 in frontier British Columbia, and a cozy romantic mystery. She is currently working on the next book in her Freddie Lark mystery series.
A former Vancouverite, Alexandra now lives in a magical coastal town on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, where cougars and wolves and bears (oh my!) regularly stroll through town. She spends each morning writing and the rest of the day creating – when she’s not walking on a local beach.
